The third edition of Awaji Island COSPLAY ~Awacos~ Powered by World Cosplay Summit will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Nijigen no Mori, an anime theme park located within Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park.
The event is organised in partnership with WCS Co., Ltd., the organiser of the World Cosplay Summit, and brings together cosplayers from across Japan for a day of photography and socialising in an outdoor natural setting. Multiple ticket types are available: a Cosplayer Ticket, which includes access to dedicated indoor changing facilities, and a Photography & General Ticket for those who wish to photograph cosplayers or attend as general visitors. Ticket holders may move freely between all attraction areas within the park throughout the day. Early bird tickets are on sale until May 17.
During the event, photography will be permitted not only in the park’s spacious “Great Lawn” area but also inside several of its popular attractions, including:
Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park
NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobi-zato
Godzilla Interception Operation
Dragon Quest Island
The collaboration aims to provide a one-of-a-kind cosplay experience that takes full advantage of Awaji Island’s rich natural scenery, allowing visitors to capture and enjoy scenes inspired by their favourite works in settings that can only be realised in this unique environment.
Tickets are available at ticket selling machines at Family Mart convenience stores. More information about admission tickets is available on the dedicated website.
