The Takeda Castle, situated on a mountain at an elevation of 353 meters, is considered one of Japan's top hundred most renowned castles. In the autumn, when the skies are clear, the castle is surrounded by a sea of clouds in the early morning, creating the illusion of it floating in the sky. This has led visitors to dub it the "castle floating in the sky" or "Japan's Machu Picchu." The enchanting view of the castle ruins attracts numerous visitors, making it a must-see attraction in Hyogo prefecture.
