“100% Doraemon & Friends in Tokyo” is one of the largest and most ambitious Doraemon events ever held, offering a comprehensive celebration of the beloved character’s manga, anime, and film history. Designed as a fully immersive experience, the exhibition brings together original artwork, cutting-edge visual installations, and large-scale outdoor displays, making it a must-visit event for fans of all ages.

At the heart of the event is the 100% Doraemon Experience, which spans six zones – three paid and three free – each presenting a different facet of the Doraemon universe. The main attraction, the 100% Doraemon Manga World Exhibit, unfolds across nine indoor exhibition areas that trace the creative origins and cultural impact of the series. Visitors are welcomed by the 100% Mini Theatre, where two original animated works created exclusively for this exhibition are screened. These animations introduce a brand-new secret gadget, the 100% Friend Gatherer Bell, and feature a Japan-exclusive version of Doraemon.

The exhibition also pays tribute to the series’ creator in The Creator’s Desk, a meticulous reproduction of Fujiko F. Fujio’s actual workspace, offering insight into the environment where Doraemon was born. Immersive installations such as the Doraemon Mirror Room and the Tentomushi Comics World invite visitors to step inside visually playful spaces inspired by iconic scenes, with themes centred on friendship, family, courage, and the future.

Art plays a central role throughout the exhibit. The Colorful Doraemon Corridor showcases 17 selected coloured original drawings that highlight Fujiko F. Fujio’s distinctive and vibrant artistic style, while the Monochrome Original Art World presents 20 black-and-white works, including memorable scenes from Uso 800. Fans can also explore Nobita’s Manga Room, a projection-mapped 3D experience that brings key moments from all 45 volumes of the Doraemon manga to life. The journey culminates in the Feature-Length Doraemon World, which gathers material from all 17 major Doraemon films, combining large-scale projections, original artwork, and life-sized Doraemon figures, alongside the 100% Secret Gadget Room, where many of Doraemon’s most famous gadgets are displayed.

Beyond the indoor exhibits, the event expands outdoors with 100% Doraemon Park, featuring a 12-meter-tall Doraemon balloon – the largest ever created. The park also showcases Doraemon in various movie costumes, appearances by other familiar characters from the manga and anime, and a special themed kitchen serving exclusive menu items available only at the event.

Several special initiatives further enhance the experience. Premium tickets offer exclusive bonuses, including special comics produced specifically for the Japan exhibition. A collaboration with the film "Doraemon: Nobita’s New Underwater Adventure" allows fans who purchase advance tickets for both the movie and the exhibition to participate in a limited campaign and receive rare items. In addition, the event partners with TOKYO GREEN BIZ to present a dedicated zone where visitors, especially children, can learn about environmental protection and Tokyo’s future greenery alongside Doraemon, blending education with entertainment.
