The 10th edition of the Ashiya Sand Sculpture Exhibition will be held from October 24 to November 9, at a special venue within Ashiya Seaside Park’s Aquacean leisure pool in Ashiya Town, Fukuoka Prefecture. The exhibition adopts the theme “Dinosaurs – A Journey Through Time and Space”, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the naming of the Iguanodon, and features works by sand sculptors from around the world.

A total of 28 sand sculptures of various sizes will be displayed, with the largest measuring 6 meters high and 10 meters wide, depicting scenes from the age of dinosaurs, including their flourishing and eventual extinction. The exhibition aims to provide a sense of traveling back to prehistoric Earth while showcasing the scale and craftsmanship of the sculptures.

Exhibition Highlights
