Pandorobo Hiroba Sapporo
パンどろぼうひろば さっぽろ
An event built from the Japanese picture-book series about a bread-stealing thief, with sets to be photographed in, at Sapporo Factory in Hokkaido.

Pandorobo, the bread thief, is a character from a series of picture books by Shibata Keiko, published from 2020. This event turns the books into rooms that can be walked through and photographed in. It ran in Yokohama in the spring of 2026 and drew 70,000 people; the Sapporo showing is at Sapporo Factory.
The sets take the places the books are set in. There is the thief's hideout, a pool in the shape of a loaf, a tower of bread, and copies of the shops, wagons and kitchen cars that appear in the stories. A corner of crane machines holds soft toys of the thief's own bread: a white loaf, a bean-paste bun and a roll.
The newest book in the series came out in September 2026 and sends the thief after ramen. A set based on it is shown here for the first time.
Goods drawn for the event are sold in a shop inside, which only ticket holders may use. No food is sold at this venue.
The books had sold more than six million copies by July 2026, and an animated series based on them is due to start on NHK's educational channel in October of that year.
Tickets are sold through Ticket Pia and at the HTB counter in the Pole Town, one of the two malls of the Sapporo underground shopping arcade. The timed slots are solid by Ticket Pia only, and tickets are sold at the door on days when the limit has not been reached.
