Child fares are for ages 6 to 11. From age 12, the adult fare applies. Age is counted on the date the exchange order is issued or the pass is bought.
Prices for passes sold from 2026/10/01. Until 2026/09/30, 4-day and 5-day passes are also sold, and passes bought in Japan cost 500 yen more.
What's covered
- All JR Shikoku lines: limited express, rapid and local trains, in non-reserved ordinary-car seats
- All Tosa Kuroshio Railway lines, on the same terms
- All Asa Kaigan Railway lines, including the DMV, a vehicle that runs as both a train and a bus, when seats are free on the day
- All Kotoden (Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad) lines
- All Tosaden Kotsu lines
- Shodoshima Ferry between Takamatsu and Tonosho and the Shodoshima Olive Bus, on passes bought up to 2026/09/30 only
- Reserved seats and the Green Car, which cost extra
- Anpanman seats on the Anpanman trains, which count as reserved seats
- The Iyonada Monogatari, Shikoku Mannaka Sennen Monogatari and Tosa Toki no Yoake sightseeing trains, which need limited express and Green Car tickets

How to use it
The pass runs for 3 or 7 consecutive days, so you can't skip a day in the middle. Once it is issued, you can't change the start date or the number of days. Delays and cancellations don't extend it.
With a paper pass, go through a staffed gate on the first day and show it so staff can see the dates. After that it works in the automatic gates at JR stations, unless it was exchanged at Kotohira Station or the TiS Okayama branch. A QR ticket from Klook, or from Trip.com from 2026/10/01, goes straight through automatic gates: you activate it once on your phone, any time within 90 days of buying it.
Reserved seats aren't included. Where you get the pass, you can buy a booklet of four reserved seat tickets, each good for one seat on JR Shikoku and Tosa Kuroshio Railway trains. The booklet can be shared between travellers. Otherwise, buy a normal reserved seat ticket. The Sunrise Seto is outside the pass, so you pay its full fare.
Carry your passport the whole time: the pass is not valid without it, and staff can ask to see it.
Before you buy
The pass is for holders of a non-Japanese passport who enter Japan with Temporary Visitor status, and only the buyer can use it. You can hold two passes at once, for example a 7-day and a 3-day pass.
Child fares are for ages 6 to 11. For an exchange order, age counts on the date it is issued; for a pass bought in Japan, on the date of purchase.
Overseas, buy an exchange order from JTB, Nippon Travel Agency, KNT-CT, Tobu Top Tours or JALPAK and exchange it within three months. You can exchange it at Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Tokushima, Kotohira or Kochi Station, at a JR Shikoku Tour branch (including Umeda in Osaka) or at the TiS Okayama branch. In Japan, the pass is sold at those five stations and JR Shikoku Tour branches. Online, you can book on JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION and collect at Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Tokushima or Kochi, or buy a QR ticket on Klook, and on Trip.com from 2026/10/01.
Refunds: an unused pass can be refunded up to the day before it starts, minus 10%. An exchange order goes back to the office that issued it, within a year, for that company's fee. Once the pass has started there is no refund, and a lost pass is not replaced.
Questions
Does the JR All Shikoku Rail Pass cover Shodoshima?
Only if you bought the pass by 2026/09/30. Those passes cover the Shodoshima Ferry between Takamatsu and Tonosho and the Shodoshima Olive Bus. Passes bought from 2026/10/01 don't.
Can I use it from Okayama?
No. The pass starts at Kojima on the JR Seto-Ohashi Line, so you pay separately for Okayama to Kojima.
Can I sit in the Anpanman seats with it?
Not with the pass alone. The Anpanman seats count as reserved seats, so you need a reserved seat ticket or one from the booklet of four.
Are seat reservations included?
No. Buy a booklet of four reserved seat tickets where you get the pass, or a normal reserved seat ticket for each train.
Does it cover Iyotetsu in Matsuyama?
No. Iyo Railway lines were covered until 2026/03/06 and are no longer part of the pass.
Can I ride the Green Car or the sightseeing trains?
Not with the pass alone. The Iyonada Monogatari, Shikoku Mannaka Sennen Monogatari and Tosa Toki no Yoake need extra limited express and Green Car tickets.
Do children need their own pass?
Children aged 6 to 11 need a child pass: ¥6,000 for 3 days or ¥10,000 for 7 days. From age 12, the adult fare applies.
