Child fares are for children of primary school age. From junior high school age, the adult fare applies. Children from age 1 up to school age ride free, one per paying passenger; babies under 1 ride free.

How to use it
Choose the Mini for Beppu itself, or the Wide to reach Yufuin and African Safari. Each comes as a 1-day pass or a pass for 2 consecutive days.
A pass bought on Kamenoi Bus's ticket site is an e-ticket: show it on your phone to the driver when you get on and when you get off. There is no paper ticket and nothing to exchange. If you booked passes for a group in one purchase, the group has to ride together.
The Yufurin takes no reservations, and it has luggage space for suitcases.
Before you buy
Anyone can buy it. Children of primary school age pay the child fare. Children from age 1 up to school age ride free, one per paying passenger, and babies under 1 ride free. The student fare on the 1-day Mini needs a student ID.
You can't buy the pass on the bus. Buy it online on Kamenoi Bus's ticket site, by credit card with 3-D Secure, or at a Kamenoi Bus counter: Kitahama Bus Center, the Kannawa waiting room, Wonder Compass Beppu by Beppu Station, the Yufuin Ekimae Bus Center, the Ferry Sunflower counter at Beppu port or Beppu Kotsu Center.
An online booking can be cancelled on your My Page before use, for ¥110 per booking. Delays and cancelled buses are not refunded.
Questions
Does My Beppu Free cover Yufuin?
Only the Wide pass. It covers Kamenoi Bus routes to Yufuin, including the Yufurin sightseeing rapid bus. The Mini covers Beppu only.
Can I use it on Oita Kotsu buses?
No. It is valid on Kamenoi Bus route buses only, even though Oita Kotsu also runs buses in Beppu.
Do I need to reserve the Yufurin?
No. The Yufurin takes no reservations; board it like any other route bus.
Can I buy it on the bus?
No. Buy it on Kamenoi Bus's ticket site or at a Kamenoi Bus counter, such as Kitahama Bus Center or Wonder Compass Beppu by Beppu Station.
Is the 2-day pass valid on any two days?
No. The two days must be consecutive.
Do children need their own pass?
Children of primary school age need a child pass, at half the adult price. Children from age 1 up to school age ride free, one per paying passenger.
