Kōraku-en is considered one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan and is a nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty and Special Historical Site. The garden was built in the 17th century and features a large central pond with various island and bridges, as well as a tea house. The garden also features a large collection of cherry blossom trees, making it a popular spot for hanami (cherry blossom viewing) in the spring.
