Small Worlds is one of Asia’s largest miniature museums, covering a total area of 7,000 m². The museum is a place where miniature enthusiasts — and anyone who simply loves small, detailed, and cute worlds — can enjoy, explore, and spend time having fun.
Themed Areas
Guests can explore eight uniquely designed areas, each offering a distinct world in miniature:
Ariake Arena
A miniature recreation of Tokyo’s Ariake Arena. By pressing a button, the roof opens to reveal the interior, filled with 1:150-scale figures enjoying a lively event inside.
Creators Gallery
An exhibition and sales area created in collaboration with Sakatsu Gallery and Dollhouse Gallery Micheal (Tokyo). Visitors can enjoy the artistry and craftsmanship of miniature works across a variety of genres.
Diaclone Area
Originally launched by Takara Tomy in 1980, Diaclone is a sci-fi toy series featuring 1/60-scale figures, robots, bases, and vehicles. The name combines “Diamond” (symbolizing strong friendship and unity) and “Cyclone” (representing powerful allies). The line evolved in 1982 with transforming robot models that later inspired Transformers.
Space Center
This area combines the 1960s Apollo Program with a futuristic space centre. The 1960s section features a Saturn V rocket, while the future section shows a shuttle preparing for launch. Around each launch pad, miniature spectators and astronauts highlight the human stories behind space exploration.
Global Village
Set during the Industrial Revolution era of the 1900s, this area spans five fictional countries across Asia and Europe. A blend of steampunk and fantasy, the worlds are inhabited by dragons, miners, and scholars — each with its own climate, architecture, and interconnected stories.
Kansai Airport
A miniature of Kansai International Airport complete with realistic engine sounds, taxiing planes, and a gradual transition from day to night, revealing a beautifully illuminated evening scene.
Evangelion TOKYO-III
A recreation of Tokyo-3, located above NERV headquarters. Sirens sound as vehicles evacuate and the city transforms underground with the arrival of the Angels, revealing a futuristic world of disaster prevention. In the old city, Shinji and friends return to everyday life, creating an immersive experience inspired by the series.
Evangelion Hangar
Visitors pass through a dark corridor to reach the Evangelion hangar, where Units 0, 1, and 2 await launch. As the Angels approach, the hangar comes to life — panels are removed, rails move, and the Evangelions are launched in scenes faithfully recreated from the anime.

Interactive Experiences
3D Figure Creation Program
Visitors can create their own lifelike 3D miniature figures using a state-of-the-art scanner. Figures can be posed individually, with friends, or even with pets on special “PET DAYS.”
- Sizes: S (1/80), M (1/35), L (1/24) – Pricing for the creation of miniature figures depends on the chosen size.
- Props: Sports items, books, bouquets, and other accessories may be included (some restrictions apply).
Figures are produced within about 30 days and can be shipped both domestically and internationally. S-size figures can also be installed in the museum’s displays for an additional fee.
Workshops
Hands-on workshops are available for all ages. Participants can design and paint miniatures, build dioramas, and even display their creations within the museum. Workshop fees are charged separately from admission.
PET DAY at Small Worlds
One of Small Worlds’ most distinctive events, PET DAY invites guests to explore the miniature world alongside their pets. Held monthly on the 10th–12th and 21st–23rd, it allows visitors to bring dogs or cats (with up-to-date rabies vaccinations) and enjoy special experiences such as creating a two-shot 3D figure with their pet.
Pets are welcome throughout most of the museum (excluding the 2nd-floor café and Gallery B) as long as they remain in a carrier, cart, or sling. A designated pet restroom is also available.
Before visiting, guests must complete the online consent form available on the museum’s website and show proof of registration upon arrival.
The 3D Pet Figure Experience is a highlight of PET DAY — a quick two-second scan turns both owner and pet into miniature figures. PET DAY offers a rare opportunity to share the wonder of the miniature world with your beloved companion.
Café & Museum Shop
Whether you’re looking for a meal or a quick snack, the museum café has options for every appetite. The museum shop offers exclusive Small Worlds merchandise and custom 3D-printed figures made to look like you — souvenirs that capture your visit in miniature form.
The museum offers numerous photo spots perfect for capturing and sharing your favourite miniatures and memories.
