An original artwork exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of manga artist Arina Tanemura’s career will be held in Osaka.

Arina Tanemura made her debut in 1996 in the shōjo manga magazine Ribon. She rose to prominence with Kamikaze Kaitō Jeanne, which began serialisation in 1998 and became a major hit, with total circulation exceeding 6 million copies. The series was later adapted into a television anime. Since then, Tanemura has created many other beloved works, including Full Moon o Sagashite, The Gentlemen’s Alliance Cross, and Sakura Hime: The Legend of Princess Sakura, establishing her as a leading figure in shōjo manga.

To commemorate 30 years of her artistic career, the exhibition “Arina Tanemura 30th Anniversary” will showcase original artwork highlighting her distinctive style and creative evolution.
