The Sylvanian Families 40th Anniversary Exhibition will be held in Nagoya at the Kanayama Minami Building, Art Museum Wing (former Nagoya Boston Museum of Fine Arts).

This large-scale exhibition commemorates the 40th anniversary of the beloved Sylvanian Families, a dollhouse series that portrays a gentle and heartwarming world of animal characters living in harmony within a lush forest. Since its debut in 1985, Sylvanian Families has been cherished by fans in more than 80 countries and regions around the world.

The exhibition will feature an extensive lineup of over 100 characters from Sylvanian Village, including a complete display of the Baby Collection, large dioramas, and themed zones such as the amusement park area. Archival materials and exhibits from the upcoming Fairy Series will also be on view.

A special collaboration corner recreates the “Saionji-san Room” from the 2024 TBS drama Saionji-san wa Kaji o Shinai (Saionji-san Doesn’t Do Housework), in which the protagonist, played by Wakana Matsumoto, is surrounded by her favourite Sylvanian Families. The recreated set, along with a Saionji-san acrylic stand, illustrates the connection between the television drama and the Sylvanian world.

Mascot greetings will take place at scheduled times throughout the exhibition period, featuring different characters on specific dates, including the Biscuit Bear Boy, Otter Girl, Chocolate Rabbit Girl, and Striped Cat Girl.

A Sylvanian Families lottery, priced at ¥800 per draw, will also be available daily. Popular items from the “Sylvanian Families Mori no Ouchi” shops, including the “Baby Colourful Rabbit Costume”, are included as prizes. Exhibition original goods will also be available at the shop.

Visitors who share their experience on social media using the designated hashtag will receive a commemorative sticker.

Tickets are available from the following platforms: LAWSON TICKET, eplus, ASOVIEW, Boo-Woo Ticket, Seven Ticket, Ticket Pia.

At Hey Japan!, we strive to keep the events listed on our website as current as possible. However, event organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or modify admission requirements without prior notice. Check official websites before attending any event.
