The Wajima Crab Festival, an annual event that takes place in November, is a celebration of the fresh seafood from the Noto port. Wajima Marine Town is the host of the festival, which features a market, various stalls, and a large seating area where visitors can indulge in delicacies such as crab and seafood, Noto beef and wine. The festival also offers a chance to enjoy taiko drum performances, and for the adventurous, an opportunity to grill whole crabs over an open-air charcoal grill.

One of the highlights of the festival will be a special crab soup (kani-jiru) made generously with boiled Kōbako-gani. This soup will be offered free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis, with 500 servings available.

At Hey Japan!, we strive to keep the events listed on our website as current as possible. However, event organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or modify admission requirements without prior notice. Check official websites before attending any event.
