How to use it

The pass runs for 5 consecutive days from the start date you choose. For a reserved seat on a JR limited express, get a free reserved seat ticket before you board, at a ticket office or ticket machine at a major JR Central or JR West station on the route. Up to six are free.

Only the person named on the pass can use it. Delays and cancellations don't earn a refund or extra days, and a lost pass is not replaced.

Before you buy

The pass is for visitors with a non-Japanese passport and a Temporary Visitor stamp or sticker, which you show when the pass is issued. If you use the automated gates at the airport, ask an officer for the stamp.

You can book it on JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION from 10:00 (Japan time) one month before your start date, then collect it in person with your passport, the credit card you paid with and the booking number, by your start date. Travel agents outside Japan sell an exchange order, which you exchange in Japan. It is also sold at station ticket offices.

Refunds carry a handling fee.
