How to use it
It's a digital ticket on your smartphone, run through Surutto QRtto. Tap "Start using" on the day, then scan the QR code at station gates, on buses when you get off, and at attractions. Your phone needs a data connection.
A pass day runs from 3:00 to 2:59 the next morning, so tap "Start using" after 3:00: if you start between midnight and 2:59, the pass stops working at 3:00. Trains and buses are covered from the first to the last service, not for 24 hours from the start. The 2-day pass covers two consecutive days.
Visit as many attractions as you like, but each one only once, also on the 2-day pass. Some attractions accept the pass only at certain times, so check each attraction's notes on the official site.
Before you buy
Anyone can buy it. There are no child passes: children use an adult pass at the same price.
Buy it online by credit card on Surutto QRtto, up to 4 passes at a time, or at the Kansai Tourist Information Center. You need a smartphone with a camera and data. You can hand extra passes to people in your group until they are activated.
The Osaka Itami Airport version also covers the Osaka Monorail between Osaka Airport and Banpaku-kinen-koen, Kita-Osaka Kyuko between Esaka and Senri-Chuo, more Hankyu lines, and Expo'70 Commemorative Park. It can't be used at Kansai Airport.
Passes are valid for three months from purchase. Unused passes can be refunded with no fee; once started, there are no refunds, even if trains stop or attractions close.
Questions
Is the Osaka Amazing Pass valid for 24 hours?
No. A pass day runs from 3:00 to 2:59 the next morning, and trains and buses are covered from the first to the last service of that day.
Does it cover JR trains?
No. It covers Osaka Metro, the New Tram, Osaka City Bus and the Hankyu, Hanshin, Keihan, Kintetsu and Nankai lines within Osaka City, but not JR.
Is there a child pass?
No. Adults and children pay the same price, so children use an adult pass.
Can I visit the same attraction twice?
No. Each attraction can be entered once per pass, also on the 2-day pass.
Do I need a smartphone?
Yes. The pass only works on a phone with a camera and data. One person can buy up to 4 passes, so a group can share one phone for purchase and hand the passes out.
Can I use it from Kansai Airport?
Not the regular pass. From 2026/10/01 there is a 28-hour Kansai Airport version that adds one ride from Kansai Airport to Namba.
Where can I buy it?
Online on Surutto QRtto with a credit card, or at the Kansai Tourist Information Center. It is also sold by travel sites such as Klook and KKday.
