Solaniwa Onsen

空庭温泉

Solaniwa Onsen is a hot spring theme park in Osaka that transports visitors to historical Japan through its design inspired by the Muromachi and Edo periods. Located within the Osaka Bay Tower in the Bentencho district, this facility brings together natural hot springs, traditional Japanese aesthetics, and modern wellness amenities.

The complex features natural hot spring water sourced from 1,000 meters underground. Known as "Clear Skin Water," this slightly alkaline spring water flows directly from its source without artificial heating or water supplementation. The facility offers nine distinct types of baths, including an open-air bath with natural spring water, a garden-viewing bath overlooking the rooftop landscape, carbonated spring baths, and seasonal specialty baths.

A defining feature of Solaniwa Onsen is its expansive rooftop Japanese garden spanning over 3,000 square meters. The garden incorporates traditional landscape elements including a pond, waterfall, seasonal flora, and architectural features that evoke classic temple settings. Visitors can stroll through the garden in yukata robes and relax in the foot bath areas while taking in views of the surrounding scenery.

The facility includes a bedrock sauna with seven types of rooms where far-infrared heat promotes deep sweating and detoxification. Both the heated stone rooms and an outdoor tent sauna accommodate mixed-gender groups. Body scrub services are available within the public bath area.

For guests seeking private bathing experiences, Solaniwa Onsen provides ten fully-private outdoor baths with individual garden spaces. The options include two deluxe Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring that accommodate four to six people, seven standard private rooms for one to four people, and one deluxe Western-style room equipped with a tent sauna.

Dining facilities include Restaurant Kuidaore-Yokocho, which serves Japanese cuisine in an atmosphere reminiscent of historical merchant streets. Café Komachi-chaya and Café Tenga-chaya offer lighter refreshments and beverages. The outdoor restaurant in the Sky Garden provides seasonal dishes that can be enjoyed while overlooking the rooftop landscape.

Beyond the hot springs and dining, the facility houses a relaxation salon with approximately 30 treatment beds offering traditional Japanese body care and modern beauty treatments. The adjacent Beauty and Wellness zone, accessible while wearing yukata, includes a 24-hour fitness center, beauty salons offering eyebrow and nail services, teeth whitening facilities, and specialty shops featuring Japanese cosmetics and skincare products.

The facility welcomes international visitors with multilingual support and accepts various payment methods including major credit cards and mobile payment systems. Guests with tattoos can access all areas by purchasing concealment stickers in multiple sizes that completely cover body art.

All admission fees include yukata robes in sizes ranging from S to 5LY for both men and women, bath towels, hand towels, and personal care amenities. The facility provides shampoo, conditioner, body soap, razors, toothbrushes, hair brushes, cotton swabs, and for women, additional items including lotion, emulsion, and cotton pads.
