First held in 1994, Design Festa is one of Asia’s largest open art events, welcoming anyone – from professionals to amateurs – to showcase their original creations. Celebrating freedom of expression beyond age, nationality, or genre, the event provides a space where diverse artistic voices intersect and connect.

The 63d edition, Design Festa vol.63, will take place on May 23 and 24, at the West and South Halls of Tokyo Big Sight. Organized by Design Festa Co., Ltd., the event will feature over 6,500 booths and is expected to attract approximately 140,000 visitors over two days. More than 10,000 artists from Japan and around the world will participate, presenting a wide range of works across different mediums and styles.

The venue will be divided into several themed areas. The Bright Booth Area, the core of the event, will host a vibrant mix of illustrations, fashion, accessories, and interior design. The Dark Booth Area will offer a more immersive atmosphere, featuring video and light-based art installations that utilize darkness as a creative element.

The Show Stage and Performance Area will present live music, dance, fashion shows, and theatre, held both indoors and outdoors. The Food Area will feature original menus and creative cuisine, and the popular One Coin Runway will invite participants to walk the runway for 500 yen.
