KAWAII MONSTER LAND - HARAJUKU is an indoor entertainment venue beneath Takeshita Street in Harajuku, run by GENDA GiGO Entertainment with ASOBISYSTEM. It opened on 13 February 2026.
The venue presents itself as an amusement park of KAWAII culture, with shows, games, food and drink in one space. Its story is of a lost amusement park of colourful monsters under Harajuku, found again by Dr. Sebastian and an excavation team and now partly opened to the public.
It is produced and creatively directed by Sebastian Masuda, an artist working from Harajuku since 1995 who also produced the former KAWAII MONSTER CAFE.
Inside
At the centre stands Choppy's Mel-Tea Cup Ride, a colourful sweets-shaped monument modelled on Choppy, the venue's main character. It is the symbol of the venue and the stage for the Kawaii Monster Parade. Visitors can sit in its cups, which do not turn while anyone is riding.
The Monster Girls, the venue's icon characters, perform in shows that use the whole space rather than a fixed stage.
Around it are Kawaii Monster Carnival, a street of stalls; Fun Fun Game Arcade, played with the venue's own KAWAII COIN; Kawaii Deco House, where visitors dress up for photos; Colorful Snack Street and Monster Kitchen for food and drink; BAR Pink Mirage; and Harajuku Gift Bazaar for original goods and souvenirs.
The music is by RAM RIDER, who also made music for KAWAII MONSTER CAFE. Staff appear as members of the excavation team, in uniforms made with the Harajuku fashion brand 6%DOKIDOKI.
