TOKYO CREATIVE SALON
Tokyo's largest creative festival spans nine urban areas during cherry blossom season, bringing together fashion, design, art, and technology programming citywide.

Tokyo is set to transform once again into a city-wide stage for creativity as TOKYO CREATIVE SALON 2026. Now in its seventh year, TCS has grown into one of Japan’s largest creative festivals, bringing together fashion, craft art, technology, and craft across the capital.
Held during the height of cherry blossom season, TOKYO CREATIVE SALON presents a unique vision of Tokyo as a living, breathing creative ecosystem. In 2026, the festival will unfold across nine iconic areas — Marunouchi, Nihonbashi, Ginza, Akasaka, Roppongi, Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, and Haneda — inviting visitors to experience creativity woven directly into the urban landscape.
TOKYO CREATIVE SALON began in 2020 with the aim of communicating Tokyo’s creative culture to a global audience. Each year, the event brings together fashion, design, art, craft, and technology programs staged throughout the city. In 2025, the event recorded a cumulative total of approximately 1.25 million visitors.
The theme for 2026 is “FUTURE VINTAGE — Inheriting the Memories of the Past into the Future”. Under this theme, TCS 2026 will explore cultural layers accumulated within the city and present creative expressions that connect historical context with future-oriented design and ideas.
City Wide Program
The core of TCS 2026 is the City Wide Program, which unfolds across the nine participating areas. Each district develops content rooted in its local history, character, and cultural background. Programs will include exhibitions and installations related to fashion, design, art, and craft, encouraging visitors to move between areas and experience creativity in relation to the urban environment.
Tokyo Vintage Fashion Week
A new initiative, Tokyo Vintage Fashion Week, will be held from March 13 to March 15, 2026, at the Sankaku Hiroba (Triangle Plaza) of the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building. Approximately 100 vintage clothing shops are scheduled to participate in a market featuring the exhibition and sale of vintage items. Fashion shows will also be held, presenting styling that reflects the historical context and narratives embedded in vintage garments.
Focus Exhibition “Tokyo Trace”
The exhibition “Tokyo Trace” focuses on the relationship between Tokyo and creative production. The exhibition examines how experiences and memories formed in the city influence creative output. The inaugural edition will focus on NOMARHYTHM TEXTILE, a brand with an international following. The exhibition will take place from March 13 to March 15 at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building’s Sankaku Hiroba.
TCS 2026 will continue its collaboration with the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix, a long-established Japanese fashion award founded in 1983. Through this collaboration, the event will present programs highlighting contemporary achievements in Japanese fashion and design.
