SNOW MIKU 2027
雪ミク2027
SNOW MIKU 2026 is an annual winter festival celebrating Hokkaido with exhibitions, live performances, and a creators' market, themed around 'Happiness Pâtisserie.'

Crypton Future Media, a digital content company based in Sapporo and known for developing the Hatsune Miku Vocaloid software, has officially announced details for SNOW MIKU 2026, the annual winter festival where Snow Miku helps promote and celebrate Hokkaido. The main event will take place on Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 8, at Wing Bay Otaru, which is directly connected to JR Otaru-Chikkō Station, marking the festival’s 17th consecutive year. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions, live performances, workshops, merchandise sales, and the Creators’ Market, where fans can purchase music and goods directly from the producers.
The SNOW MIKU Festival began in 2010 after the creation of a snow sculpture of Hatsune Miku at the Sapporo Snow Festival. Since then, the event has evolved into a large-scale celebration featuring exhibitions, workshops, stage performances, and collaborations across Hokkaido. The festival highlights the company’s deep roots in Sapporo and its commitment to supporting local culture.
This year’s theme is “Happiness Pâtisserie”, with Snow Miku and her pet Rabbit Yukine donning sweet, pastry-inspired outfits designed to warm up Hokkaido’s winter season. Each year, Snow Miku and Rabbit Yukine wear a new costume based on a fan-selected theme. For 2026, designs were submitted via Crypton’s creative community platform piapro, with the theme “Happiness Pâtisserie”. Out of six finalist entries, cold_air’s charming pastel design was chosen through fan voting.

The main visual for SNOW MIKU 2026 - featuring Snow Miku and Yukine surrounded by delicious confections, radiating warmth and delight - was created by illustrator Bu-ta, who beautifully brought cold_air’s concept to life. The festival’s theme song, “SHIAWASE FOR YOU!”, was written and composed by music creator iyowa, featuring Hatsune Miku’s vocals. A preview is available in the newly released promotional video, with the full version to debut soon.
From February 4 to 11, 2026, a Snow Miku snow sculpture will once again appear at the 76th Sapporo Snow Festival, continuing a tradition that began in 2010. Rabbit Yukine will join the display as well, delighting visitors from around the world.

The popular Snow Miku Tram will run through Sapporo from November 15, 2025, to March 22, 2026. Fully wrapped in Snow Miku 2026 visuals, the tram will feature themed interiors, posters, and announcements - turning the city’s winter streets into a moving celebration.

Snow Miku in JR Tower in Sapporo
This event, held as part of the SNOW MIKU Festival, marks its second year following its debut in February 2025 and runs from February 1 to February 15. It will be held across multiple locations, including the JR Tower Observation Deck T38, the Sapporo Station South Exit Plaza, and virtual venues such as satsueki.world on VRChat. Visitors can enjoy AR-based illumination shows featuring Snow Miku performances, immersive digital shows using 3D headsets, photo spots, limited-time collaboration drinks, and exclusive merchandise. In the virtual space, participants can explore a Snow Miku–themed world, watch hourly VR performances, and take part in official greeting sessions with Snow Miku and Rabbit Yukine.
Rabbit Yukine, inspired by the Hokkaido snow hare (Ezo Yukiusagi), is Snow Miku’s companion. Selected through a public contest in 2013, Yukine has grown into a mascot in his own right and now serves as a promotional ambassador for local projects and the Sapporo Tourism Office.
