Lagunasia is a theme park on the coast at Gamagori, built around pools and water rides. Through the winter its grounds are lit, and the water is used as much as the ground: fountains, a lazy river and a central pool all carry part of the display.

The new piece this winter is a run of twelve arches over a connecting bridge, about a hundred metres of them end to end. They are lit in a warm gold, meant for a temple risen from the sea floor, with pink for the flowers growing on it and blue for the spray. Beyond the bridge stands a large tree of light, and at intervals a mist is released around it.

The rest of the ground carries a set of pieces on the same theme. Three domes of light are joined by a blue tunnel, and a bumper boat can be taken along the river beneath the arches that cross it. There is a palace lit entirely in blue that can be walked through, and a path along which sea creatures are projected into the dark.

The park's mapping show, which is projected all round the viewer and named for snow, is in its tenth winter and runs in a special form for part of the season. There is a Christmas show with dancing and circus acts, a fountain show newly made for the evenings, and on five nights around Christmas a fireworks display over the water.

From the middle of November the park works with the actor Matsudaira Ken. A large lantern in his likeness stands in one of the lit areas, and the fountain show in the central pool is given over to him, with a fireworks version on dates to be announced.

A Christmas market of food, drink and goods runs among the lights until the end of February.
