Kanto’s Largest-Class Illumination: Sagamiko Illumillion
関東最大級イルミ:さがみ湖イルミリオン
One of Kanto's largest illuminations features approximately six million lights integrated into a natural landscape at a sprawling venue.

Sagamiko Illumillion is one of the Three Major Illuminations of Kanto, offering breathtaking nighttime scenery seamlessly integrated with the surrounding natural landscape. Featuring approximately six million lights spread across a vast, sloped terrain, the illumination creates a spectacular setting that blends harmoniously with nature. Launched in 2009, the event marks its 17th edition this year and runs until mid-May at Sagamiko MORI MORI in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The event has also received international recognition, earning second place in the Illumination Event Category – Excellence in Entertainment Award at the 2025 International Illumination Awards.
From February 6, the spring edition of the immersive show “Oto-Illumi: Spring” will be introduced as part of the Sagamiko Illumillion program. Oto-Illumi is a vibrant, approximately nine-minute experience that combines popular artists’ music and music videos with synchronised illumination effects. Participating artists include Miisha Shimizu, SEKAI NO OWARI, back number, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, and Yorushika. Music, visuals, and light merge to create a fantastical nighttime atmosphere, with carefully selected songs drifting through the illuminated sky and gently enveloping visitors.
For the spring edition, the venue is enhanced with floral decorations in shades of pink, yellow, and orange, creating a bright and cheerful environment that evokes the arrival of spring and offers a seasonal contrast to the winter illumination.
Interactive Illumination Experiences
Nighttime-only special lighting effects are also featured on two attractions that opened in summer 2025: the 100-meter-long slider “Magical Wave” and “Aozora Pedal”, a sky-cycling attraction where guests pedal through the air at an elevation of 370 meters.
On Magical Wave, visitors can enjoy the thrill of sliding down a vividly illuminated 100-meter course. Aozora Pedal, redesigned in conjunction with the “Discover Tamagotchi at Sagamiko! Sparkling Illumination” area, is presented as the “Tamagotchi Starry Sky Pedal”, offering a unique sky-cycling experience with panoramic views of the illuminated landscape below.
Together with the popular Rainbow Lift, which provides an aerial stroll surrounded by rainbow-coloured lights, these attractions form the resort’s “Three Major Interactive Illuminations”. In addition, visitors can enjoy a total of 11 nighttime attractions, including the “Tamagotchi Sparkling Ferris Wheel” and the Colourfully Lit Aerial Athletic Course, experiences unique to this hilly outdoor resort.
Admission fees vary depending on whether attractions are included, with both All-Day Pass and Night All-Day Pass options available. Pets (dogs) are admitted for ¥1,000, with an additional ¥500 charged for each extra dog.
