Sagamiko Illumillion

Sagamiko Illumillion is a winter and spring illumination at Sagamiko MORI MORI, an outdoor resort on a hillside in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture. About six million lights cover the slopes of the site. The illumination began in 2009, and since 2018 it has been named one of the Three Major Illuminations of Kanto (Kanto Sandai Illumination, 関東三大イルミネーション). In 2025 it took second place for excellence in entertainment in the illumination event category of the International Illumination Award.

Highlights

Oto-Illumi (オトイルミ), first held in the 2025-26 season, is the area where light meets music. Monuments shaped like music, with a large treble clef at the centre, light up in time with the lights on the mountain slope behind them, set to songs by popular artists.

Eleven attractions run at night with their own lighting. Among them are Aozora Pedal, a sky cycle at 370 m above sea level, the 250 m Rainbow Lift, a Ferris wheel and an aerial athletic course lit in color.

The 2026-27 edition

The 2026-27 illumination is the 18th. This season Oto-Illumi has five artists, AI, Sakurai Yui, back number, Mrs. GREEN APPLE and MON7A, in a show of about seven minutes. The artists and songs change in February for Oto-Illumi Spring.

New this season, the 100 m slide Magical Wave joins Oto-Illumi as a collaboration attraction. Food trucks called Kirameku Kitchen Car (きらめくキッチンカー) appear for the first time, selling food and drinks themed on sound and light. An area with the characters of Kawaisoni! (可哀想に！), a circus called Giragira Circus, waits at the top of the Rainbow Lift.

Shows by PoiGraphics, performers with glowing poi, take place on weekends and holidays until the New Year, and Bubble Works gives a night bubble show on two days in January.
