To participate in the mission, you must choose one of five available routes when purchasing your ticket. Tickets are available via Trip.com - select your preferred date and route during the purchase process. The five available routes are:

  • Charizard Route (Mega Charizard X)

  • Gyarados Route (Mega Gyarados)

  • Ampharos Route (Mega Ampharos)

  • Lucario Route (Mega Lucario)

To begin the “Mega Evolution Mission”, you'll need to pick up a Rally Kit at the reception desk. Please present the QR code available in your “My Page” or email after purchasing your ticket.

Rally Kit Contents:

  • Rally Map

  • Strategy Stickers

  • Sun Visor (randomly selected from four types: Pikachu, Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile — selection not available)

The Rally Kit will help you locate Pokémon of the designated type within the mission area. Your goal is to find the Mission Panels. When you find one, place the matching color and number Strategy Sticker onto your Rally Map. Once all blank spaces on the map are filled, it proves you've strengthened your bond with your partner Pokémon.

As you complete the mission, you’ll also encounter around 30 spotted-themed photo installations across Osaka Station City and the Ume-kita area. These are perfect for taking memorable photos with your favourite Pokémon.

What is Mega Evolution?

Mega Evolution is a special kind of evolution that goes beyond the normal limits and is only possible for certain Pokémon. By temporarily unlocking hidden power, a Pokémon undergoes a power-up that exceeds regular evolution. When a Pokémon Mega Evolves, its appearance changes - and in some cases, even its type may change.

Mega Evolution is triggered when a strong bond exists between the Trainer and their Pokémon. When the Trainer’s Key Stone resonates with the Pokémon’s Mega Stone, Mega Evolution occurs.

About Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A

Scheduled for release on October 16, 2025, Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A is a bold new addition to the Pokémon series.

The adventure takes place in Lumiose City, where urban redevelopment is in progress to create a space where people and Pokémon can coexist. Compared to its appearance in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y (2013), the city is now greener and equipped with advanced technology throughout its streets.

The protagonist, visiting Lumiose City as a tourist, chooses one partner Pokémon from Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile, and sets out to tackle various incidents and challenges that occur in the city.

For the first time in the series, battles feature real-time action between Trainers and Pokémon, offering a fresh and dynamic combat experience. Mega Evolution also plays a key role, adding depth and excitement to the adventure.
