Spice and Wolf 20th Anniversary Exhibition – Osaka

Spice and Wolf, the beloved light-novel and anime series about a travelling merchant and the wise wolf-deity Holo, turns 20 in 2026 – two decades since Isuna Hasekura's first novel appeared in 2006. After opening in Tokyo, the anniversary retrospective travels to Osaka.

Held at Seaside Studio CASO in the city's bayside Minato ward, the show brings together the largest illustration retrospective the franchise has mounted, setting materials and documents tracing the work's creation, and a new displayed Q&A with author Isuna Hasekura and illustrator Jyuu Ayakura. A large photo spot with life-sized character panels lets visitors step straight into the world of the story.

The Osaka venue has its own newly-drawn seasonal artwork, themed on autumn and winter – the counterpart to Tokyo's spring and summer, so fans who catch both venues see the full set of four. Visitors can also enter a once-daily draw for a signed reproduction print, and a signing session with the author and illustrator is planned during the run.

The exhibition is a main program of J-Culture Exchange 2026, a project promoting Japanese pop culture to international and next-generation audiences.

Admission: weekday tickets are sold at the venue on the day, while weekend and holiday tickets are available only in advance via Lawson Ticket.
