Child fares are for ages 6 to 11. From age 12, the adult fare applies, but a 12-year-old still at primary school pays the child fare. Children aged 1 to 5 ride free with a guardian; travelling alone or with someone other than a guardian, they pay the child fare. Babies under 1 ride free.
On weekends, public holidays and Fukuoka City school holidays, primary school children can use a ¥100 day pass instead, sold at station ticket machines.

How to use it
Put the pass straight into the automatic ticket gate. It is valid from the first train to the last train on the day you first use it.
A pass bought from a station ticket machine is different: it is valid only on the day you buy it. To buy ahead for another day, buy it at a counter instead.
Show the pass at partner facilities for discounts on the same day.
Before you buy
Anyone can buy it. It is sold at the ticket machines in every subway station, at the Customer Service Centers (commuter pass counters), and at the tourist information centers at Tenjin, Hakata Station and Fukuoka Airport International Terminal.
Children aged 6 to 11 pay ¥320. On weekends, public holidays and Fukuoka City school holidays, primary school children can instead ride all day for ¥100 with a pass sold at station ticket machines. Children aged 1 to 5 ride free with a guardian.
Refunds: an unused pass can be refunded before it expires, for a fee of ¥220.

Does the Fukuoka City Subway 1-Day Pass cover Fukuoka Airport station?
Yes. Fukuoka Airport is on the Airport Line, and the pass covers all three subway lines.
Can I buy it from a ticket machine and use it tomorrow?
No. A pass from a ticket machine is valid only on the day you buy it. Passes sold at counters are valid on the day you first use them.
Does it cover buses?
No. It covers the Fukuoka City Subway only.
Is there a cheaper pass for children?
Yes. On weekends, public holidays and Fukuoka City school holidays, primary school children can ride all day for ¥100.
Can I get a refund?
