teamLab: Digitized Fukuoka Castle Ruins is a night-time outdoor art exhibition by teamLab at the ruins of Fukuoka Castle, in Maizuru Park. Its works spread across the center of the castle site, among the stone walls, and change with the people who move through it. The 2026-2027 exhibition is the third at the site, and the first in seven years.
Fukuoka Castle was built over seven years from 1601, and by its size it was the largest castle in Kyushu. Its central enclosures, the Honmaru, Ninomaru and Sannomaru, were walled entirely in stone, which earned it the other name Sekijo, the stone castle. The walls still stand in four levels across a large historic site.

The exhibition is part of teamLab's Digitized Nature project. The project uses digital technology, which has no physical form, to turn a natural setting or a place into art without changing it. Here the works respond to wind and rain and to what visitors do, so the people in the castle grounds become part of the art, together with nature. teamLab describes the aim as removing the lines between the works, people and nature, between oneself and others, and between the present and the past.
The works include Pillar of Constant Flux, a 2026 work from the series Pillars that Dance with the Wind. Three works shown in earlier exhibitions are also included: Autonomous Resonating Life, Walk, Walk, Walk - Fukuoka Castle Ruins and Enso on Ancient Stone Wall.
