How to use it
The pass is valid for one day only. On the paper pass, scratch off the date you use it; on the digital pass, tap Start of use.
On a bus, show the pass to the driver when you get off. On the subway and trains, show it to the station staff at the ticket gate.
Before you buy
The pass is only for overseas tourists staying in Japan on a short-stay visa. Show your passport when you buy it.
The paper pass is sold at Nishitetsu Tenjin Expressway Bus Terminal, Hakata Bus Terminal, the Fukuoka Airport bus terminals (domestic and international), Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station, the subway Customer Service Centers at Tenjin and Hakata, Hakata Station General Information Center, Fukuoka City Tourist Information Center Tenjin, and the HIS Travel Service Center in Fukuoka Airport International Terminal.
The digital pass is sold in the my route app, but only to visitors from South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
Questions
Does the Fukuoka Tourist City Pass cover the Tabito bus to Dazaifu?
No, not even the Dazaifu version. That version covers the Nishitetsu train from Fukuoka (Tenjin) to Dazaifu instead.
Can I buy it if I live in Japan?
No. It is only for overseas tourists staying in Japan on a short-stay visa, and you show your passport when you buy it.
Can I buy it in the my route app?
Only if you are visiting from South Korea, Taiwan or Thailand. Everyone else buys the paper pass at a sales counter.
How do I use it on buses?
Show the pass to the driver when you get off.
Is it valid for 24 hours?
No. It is valid for one day only: the date you scratch off, or the day you start the digital pass.
Which version do I need for Dazaifu?
The Fukuoka City + Dazaifu pass, ¥2,800 for adults. The Fukuoka City pass is ¥2,500.
