Mother Farm

マザー牧場

Mother Farm, located on Mount Kano in the Boso Peninsula, Chiba Prefecture, offers expansive views of the surrounding mountains, Tokyo Bay, and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. Established in 1962 by Hisakichi Maeda, the founder of the Sankei Shimbun and developer of Tokyo Tower, the farm spans 250 hectares. It was named in honour of Maeda’s late mother, inspired by her wish for a cow to ease the family’s life.

The farm was founded to promote agriculture and livestock farming and continues to host a wide variety of animals, including sheep, cows, horses, goats, pigs, alpacas, capybaras, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Visitors can enjoy hands-on experiences such as feeding the animals and participating in daily interaction events.
