Immersive Squid Game experience where visitors register as players and compete in six iconic survival games from the Emmy-winning Netflix series.

Fans of the Emmy-winning Netflix series Squid Game can step into its world for the first time in Japan with Netflix Shibuya Real Squid Game, opening January 16, 2026, at Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, 3rd Floor, inside Shibuya Fukuras. The immersive attraction runs until July 20, 2026, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for fans of the global phenomenon.
Following successful events in New York, Madrid, London, Sydney, Los Angeles, and Seongsu-dong (South Korea), this marks the first Japanese edition. Participants are registered as players via facial scans and can compete in six iconic survival games from the series, including Red Light, Green Light, Tug of War, Marbles, Memory Steps (Glass Bridge), Round & Round (Musical Chairs), and The Last Supper. The overall winner is invited to the series’ VIP ROOM, replicating the show’s exclusive experience.
Beyond the games, visitors can enjoy a themed collaboration café, photo zones, and the official merchandise shop “Yeong-hee’s Playground”, selling green tracksuits, apparel, and collectibles. Special tickets allow fans to access the VIP ROOM with drinks or purchase the signature green player tracksuit.
Greg Lombardo, Vice President of Netflix Experience, commented: "Events like Netflix Shibuya Real Squid Game let fans step directly into the world of their favourite characters. We are thrilled to bring this immersive, technology-driven experience to Japan for the first time."
