The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is a park located in Hiroshima, Japan. It is dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The park contains several monuments and buildings that commemorate the events of that day, including the Hiroshima Peace Memorial (also known as the "Atomic Bomb Dome"), which is the only remaining building near the bomb's hypocenter, and the Children's Peace Monument, which honors the children who died as a result of the bombing. The park also contains a museum that provides information about the bombing and its aftermath.
