Sanohara Shrine

The main deity honored is Fujiwara Ason Nijo Tamefuyuki. He was the youngest child of Nijō Tameyo, a Japanese courtier and waka poet. Tamefuyuki died on December 12, 1335 while serving as a court noble general in the Battle of Hakone at Sanohara.
