KAWAII MONSTER HALLOWEEN 2026 is a month of Halloween shows, costume contests and seasonal food at KAWAII MONSTER LAND – HARAJUKU, an entertainment venue beneath Takeshita Street in Harajuku, Tokyo. GENDA GiGO Entertainment, which runs the venue, organizes it together with ASOBISYSTEM.
The event revives a Halloween first held in 2015 at KAWAII MONSTER CAFE, the earlier Harajuku venue under the same name. Its events that year included the CLUB NIGHTMARE HALLOWEEN PARTY. Guests came in costumes and fashion of their own choosing, took photos inside the cafe's KAWAII setting and used the night to show their own style. Eleven years later, that Halloween returns in an updated form at KAWAII MONSTER LAND, the newer venue that carries on the KAWAII MONSTER name.

The program runs for the whole season under the name KAWAII MONSTER HALLOWEEN MONTH. It is not held on one night only. During normal opening hours the venue is decorated for Halloween. There are photo spots and Halloween shows by the MONSTER GIRL performers. A limited menu of Halloween food, sweets, cocktails and mocktails is served. The organizers describe it as a Halloween that visitors take part in, not one they only watch. On a series of special nights, the program is built around showcases and DJ sets, and the theme and performers change from week to week. Guests in costume walk a runway and take part in photo sessions.
At the center of the month is the Halloween Fashion Grand Prix, a contest open to visitors. It ends on Halloween night with the GRAND FINAL. That night has a special Halloween live show by MONSTER GIRL, a runway by the finalists, judging and an awards ceremony. The awards include BEST MONSTER, BEST KAWAII and BEST HARAJUKU, and they are meant to honor each entrant's own fashion and self-expression.
