Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park in Tama, Tokyo, built around the characters of the Sanrio company, such as Hello Kitty, My Melody and Kuromi. It opened in 1990 and marked its 35th anniversary in December 2025.
Highlights
The park fills a four-storey building. Its eleven attractions include theatres with stage shows, a boat ride through the world of the Sanrio characters and a ride with My Melody and Kuromi. A visit to Lady Kitty House ends with a greeting from Lady Kitty, and a greeting building has five themed rooms for photos with the characters.
Parades and shows run through the day. BUDDYEDDY WONDERFUL CLUB is an interactive attraction played in English, and CHALLENGE PURO is a workshop attraction with a separate paid ticket.
