Wonder Festival [Winter]
ワンダーフェスティバル- Kaihimmakuhari StationKeiyō Line
- Walk 10 minutes
Wonder Festival is the world’s largest celebration of sculpture and figures. Founded in 1985, it has grown into a major international gathering since moving to Makuhari Messe in 2009. Today, the festival typically hosts around 2,000 exhibitors and attracts over 30,000 visitors per event.
Open to both professionals and amateurs, Wonder Festival is renowned for its unique garage kits, one-of-a-kind sculptures, new and limited-edition works, stage programs, hands-on painting and assembly experiences, and cosplay by passionate fans.
The event has also expanded globally, with recent editions held in Shanghai, South Korea, and Bangkok, as well as a new overseas event, Wonder Festival at MomoCon in Georgia, USA.
This year, the general exhibition area will feature a record-breaking 2,264 dealer groups, making it the largest Wonder Festival to date. Exhibitors span a wide range of genres, from character sculptures created under the event’s one-day licensing system to original works, dolls, scale models, and soft vinyl figures.
With participants ranging from first-time exhibitors to long-established veterans, the diversity of booths promises an even broader range of creative encounters for attendees. A complete list of dealers is already available on the special website, with booth numbers and the venue map scheduled for release in mid-January. In addition, 79 corporate exhibitors will take part, further enriching the scale and variety of the event.
Special Project: Ultra Kaiju Wonder Festival
Ultra Kaiju Wonder Festival is a special project held as part of Wonder Festival to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Tsuburaya Productions’ Ultra Series. Ultraman and kaiju (monster) figures have long been among the most popular genres at Wonder Festival, with many creators presenting related works at each event.
With the full cooperation of Tsuburaya Productions, this project brings together a larger-than-usual concentration of Ultra Series–related works, allowing visitors to view and purchase a wide range of Ultraman and kaiju creations in a single area of the venue.
Special Exhibition Booth
A dedicated special booth will be set up at the venue, bringing together works based on Tsuburaya Productions titles created by dealers exhibiting in the general zone of Wonder Festival. A large number of items are scheduled to be displayed, offering visitors an opportunity to view many Ultra Series–related works in one place.
Corporate Exhibitions
Manufacturers that handle Ultraman-related products will participate together in a large-scale corporate exhibition area. This includes Tsuburaya Productions’ official store, Tsuburaya Store, as well as various companies producing Ultraman merchandise.
Exhibitions and Photo Spots
Multiple large-scale displays inspired by works from Tsuburaya Productions will be installed at the venue. Photo spots designed for commemorative photography are also planned, allowing visitors to take pictures within themed exhibition spaces.
Merchandise
To commemorate the project, a limited-quantity re-release of a garage kit will also be offered. Please note that this product is unpainted and unassembled. One of the items included in this special release is the Ultraman Leo vs. Black Giras Garage Kit. The original sculpt was created by Tomokazu Seki, who is also active as a voice actor and actor. This special re-release faithfully reproduces the original sculpt and will be sold through advance lottery sales as well as on-site sales at the event.
