The beloved Yokohama Strawberry Festival returns to the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse this year, once again transforming the iconic event plaza into a dreamy celebration of all things strawberry. Now in its 13th year, the festival has become one of the region’s most popular winter events, drawing nearly 580,000 visitors during last year’s run. This year’s theme, ‘Strawberry Trip’, invites guests to explore Japan through its many regional strawberry varieties, discover Yokohama’s own strawberry offerings across nearby facilities, and enjoy a journey of sweets, flavours, and charming goods centred on the beloved fruit. The 2026 festival will also feature its largest lineup to date, with 45 vendors offering strawberry-themed sweets, drinks, and merchandise.

A Strawberry Trip Across Japan

New program and special collaborations bring the “strawberry journey” concept to life:

  • Collaboration with the National Strawberry Council: For the first time, a real-world event will gather strawberries from Japan’s top 10 producing prefectures, including Miyagi, Tochigi, Shizuoka, Fukuoka, and more. Visitors can sample and purchase rare local varieties and newly developed breeds during a special three-day showcase.

  • “Traveling Strawberry Creperie” (New): A hands-on booth where guests can choose their favourite region, variety, and quantity of strawberries to create a fully customisable crepe.

  • Daily free tastings and limited direct sales: Popular every year, the festival will once again offer free daily sampling of strawberries from around Japan, along with limited-day direct sales to bring these flavours home.

  • Special collaboration sweets from MAISON GIVRÉE: Patissier Hiroyuki Emori presents limited-edition desserts made with Fukushima’s “Benihoppe” strawberries, cultivated as part of local post-disaster revitalisation efforts.

Strawberry Menus Across Yokohama

More than 12 nearby facilities — including shopping centres and hotels — will introduce original strawberry dishes during the festival period. Visitors can explore the Yokohama Station, Minato Mirai, and Chinatown areas while collecting stamps and notes in a special “Strawberry Journal”, available for free at the venue and participating facilities (while supplies last).

Festival Highlights: Sweets & Goods

The festival marketplace will host the highest number of vendors to date, offering a wide range of irresistible creations. Highlights include:

  • Fruits Nanoni – Mountain Parfait: A luxurious parfait featuring multiple strawberry varieties, homemade sauces, mousse, and a cloud of cotton candy.

  • ICHIBIKO – Melting Fresh Strawberry Shortcake: A festival-exclusive 2026 creation topped with rich cream and served with a special Migaki Ichigo sauce.

  • Red Brick Bake! – Drinkable Strawberry Cheesecake “Quattro”: An event-exclusive twist on the shop’s signature financier, blended into a dessert drink with mascarpone, cream, and fresh strawberries.

  • Manmaru – Warm Strawberry Shiratama (New): Freshly boiled strawberry-infused mochi dumplings that are allergy-friendly and irresistibly soft.

  • STRAWBERRY HOUSES – Amaou Strawberry Milk: Served in nine colourful collectible strawberry-shaped bottles, complete with an original strap.

  • STRAWBERRY BOX – Giant Strawberry Sweater: A cute, bold sweatshirt featuring a large strawberry print, perfect for winter.
