How to use it
The pass is valid for one day, the day you use it. For the coupons, scan the QR code on the front of the pass to see where they apply, then show the pass there.
Your name is not printed on the pass, but only one person can use it.
Before you buy
Keihan sells it as one of its passes for visitors to Japan. You can buy it as a digital ticket on your smartphone on Keihan's official site, trip.KANSAI, or as a paper ticket at Keihan-Yamashina Station (7:00 to 19:50) and Biwako-Hamaotsu Station (5:00 to 24:10). A QR code from an online purchase can't be exchanged at these two stations.
The pass is sold from 2026/04/01 to 2027/03/31 and can be used until 2027/04/30. It must be used within three months of purchase. There are no refunds.
Questions
Does the Otsu Sightseeing Pass cover the Keihan Main Line to Kyoto or Osaka?
No. It covers only the Keihan Otsu Line. For Keihan Main Line trains you need a separate ticket or a Kyoto-Osaka Sightseeing Pass.
Can I get to Mt. Hiei and Enryakuji with it?
The pass takes you to Sakamoto-Hieizanguchi on the Ishiyama Sakamoto Line. Onward transport up Mt. Hiei isn't part of the pass.
Can I ride from central Kyoto with it?
No. The pass covers the Keishin Line from Misasagi. The Kyoto Municipal Subway is not included.
Is there a child price?
Keihan publishes only an adult price, ¥800.
Can I get a refund?
No. Keihan does not refund the pass.
