熱田神宮
A highly revered Nagoya shrine established during Emperor Keikō's reign, it houses the Kusanagi no Tsurugi, one of the three symbols of the Imperial throne.

Atsuta Shrine, located in Atsuta-ku, Nagoya, is a highly revered Shinto shrine believed to have been established during Emperor Keikō's reign (71-130). It's on par with the Grand Shrine of Ise and houses the Kusanagi no Tsurugi, one of the three symbols of the Imperial throne. The Kojiki explains its creation. After the death of Prince Ousu, Yamato Takeru, in the 43rd year of Emperor Keiko's reign, his possessions including the sword were moved to the shrine's current location. Atsuta Shrine is dedicated to Atsuta-no-Ōkami and also enshrines the "Five Great Gods of Atsuta", linked to the sword's legend - Amaterasu-Ōmikami, Takehaya Susanoo-no-mikoto, Yamato Takeru-no-mikoto, Miyasu-hime no-mikoto, and Take Inadane-no-mikoto.
The Atsuta Jingu Museum
The Atsuta Jingu Museum holds approximately 4,000 donated artifacts, representing a diverse range of donors, including the Imperial Family, shoguns, feudal lords, and commoners. Of these, 174 items have been designated as important cultural assets by Aichi Prefecture. The shrine is known as the "House of Noted Swords" due to the numerous sword and dagger contributions made to the shrine, inspired by the legend that the Kusanagi no Tsurugi sword is kept here.
