The Gifu Prefectural Museum of Art is a public art museum run by Gifu Prefecture and was established in 1982. It holds a significant collection of works by artists from Gifu Prefecture and other painters associated with the region, such as Suiseki Ohashi and Kawai Gyokudo, as well as many foreign artists like Odilon Redon. The museum features both permanent and special exhibitions, with special exhibitions taking place around six times a year. The museum also boasts a garden displaying a variety of monuments. In addition to books and postcards, the museum shop offers merchandise created by local artists.
