The Yokohama Flower & Garden Festival, one of Japan's largest gardening events, will be held over Golden Week at PACIFICO Yokohama.

This year's festival offers visitors an early look at the world of GREEN×EXPO 2027, the upcoming international horticultural exposition planned for Yokohama.

As a city long associated with roses, Yokohama places its official flower at the heart of the festival. Several dedicated exhibitions explore the rose from different perspectives. The Main Garden features two established garden designers and landscape architects collaborating on four distinct garden scenes under the theme "A Garden to Dream Of". The Yokohama Rose Collection presents approximately 60 varieties of popular garden roses, including the latest cultivars. A separate exhibition by floral designer Laurent Borniche draws on the concept of La cabane — a small cabin — to express a lifestyle attuned to the changing seasons.

The festival's stage area will feature a different lineup of guests each day, with talks and live demonstrations scheduled throughout the event. Additional content includes hands-on workshops suited to a wide range of ages, a dedicated section on Japanese floral traditions with a focus on peonies, as well as shopping and food areas.

At Hey Japan!, we strive to keep the events listed on our website as current as possible. However, event organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or modify admission requirements without prior notice. Check official websites before attending any event.
