Jozenji-dori Street in Sendai, the capital of the forest, features a 700 meter row of zelkova trees connecting Nishi Park and Kotodai Park. The street is particularly beautiful in spring when the trees are covered in fresh greenery, and it also hosts events such as the Tanabata parade in summer, the Jozenji Street Jazz Festival in fall and a light pageant in winter.
